The annual Vigan City Fiesta, observed on January 25, commemorates the conversion of St. Paul the Apostle, Vigan City's patron saint. Formerly known as Saul, a fervent persecutor of Christians, St. Paul's life transformed after a profound encounter with Jesus on his way to Damascus. The Metropolitan Cathedral, the core of the Archdiocese of Nueva Segovia in Vigan, is dedicated to St. Paul, as is the adjacent St. Paul College of Ilocos Sur.      The festivities, lasting several days, include the celebration of Vigan's cityhood anniversary on January 27. Biguenos, both local and those returning from various parts of the world, unite to partake in cultural shows, parades, and street dancing organized by the local government, industries, and communities.  And I'm still a believer, but I don't know why, I've never been a natural, all I do is try, try, try Looking back on my academic progress, I've noticed significant improvements in different areas. A notable advancement is in how I manage my time—I've become better at prioritizing tasks, creating effective study schedules, and dedicating specific time to each subject. This sense of accomplishment has motivated me to take on more challenging academic pursuits. While acknowledging these improvements, I understand the im

Jose Rizal, the hero of the Philippines, did important things that really helped the country. One big thing he did was to inspire Filipino pride and the desire for change during the time when the Spanish ruled. Rizal wrote powerful books like "Noli Me Tangere" and "El Filibusterismo" that showed the problems caused by the Spanish rulers. His writings made Filipinos aware of their identity and wanting freedom.      Rizal also believed strongly in education and thought it was crucial for the country to progress. He encouraged Filipinos to learn not                      just for themselves but to make the country better. Rizal showed this by excelling in different subjects and becoming really smart.      Besides being smart, Rizal actively took part in activities and efforts to make positive changes. He helped start La Liga Filipina, a group wanting to make society better peacefully. Sadly, the Spanish government saw it as a problem, leading to Rizal's arrest

Setting clear objectives provides a roadmap for the upcoming months, guiding me towards a m ore fulfilling and balanced life. My core plans this year revolves around my personal growth. I just want to grow up because I know that in me till now I have that immature portion of myself and that's ruined everything. From my friends, family and all the people around me are affected to my actions and emotions. I want myself to be aware of my actions, control my emotions and be the role model with the people around me. I need to fix what I am, to be the best version of myself and not to lose my loved ones. But 2023 teaches me a lot and I hope that I'll make t
