Although rooted in historical and cultural traditions, it has transformed into a global celebration with varying perspectives. Primarily, Valentine's Day serves as a reminder to express and celebrate love. Couples exchange affectionate gestures, creating connections and gratitude. It provides an opportunity to pause, appreciate, and celebrate meaningful relationships amid the busyness of daily life. However, some argue that Valentine's Day has become overly commercialized, with businesses exploiting it to sell products.  The name of the festival in the past is Kannawidan which means "tawid" or in translation is the tradition, culture and legacy. It establishes the lives of our ancestors in our province during the spanish times. But when Gov. Jerry Singson had elected he renames the Kannawidan Festival into Ilocos Sur Festival.  As the celebration of the Ilocos Sur Festival in the previous years the name only changed but the celebrations and activities never changed. The pasabog that I want during the festival is when they are inviting our idols who will came from their own province travel just to perform. It is so called concert or the term Illumina Festival, it's the concert for those famous singer and many ilocano's will travel from the different places in ilocos just to watch them perform. There is also trade fair every year, the municipalities at the ilocos are given chances to have their own booths. The Ilocos Sur Festival in the Philippines is an exciting cultural celebration h
